Yes, we do have a social life outside of the MC....AND we have a picture to prove it.

This is Matt and Ines out hitting the town at KSET. (We were actually trying to locate someone for AIESEC reasons...but don't tell anyone).

Now, many of you are probably wondering how Matt manages to survive away from home for so long in a strange, foreign land.

Today I'll teach you how to cook what I call "Meat a la Matt"
Step 1) Take some minced meat and throw it in a pan. You can pick this up at Konzum for 15-20 kunas.

Step 2) Add some high quality Osujsko beer for flavour

Step 3) Add some corn for nutrition and vitamins

Step 4) Add some Vegeta...cause it's illegal to make food here without it :)

Step 5) Voila! You have created "Meat a la Matt" - not only good to taste but good to view!

Step 6) Eat and Enjoy!

Happy and no longer hungry Matt!

Unfortunate events

In every life there are challenges arising from different circumstances we get caught up in. @ life is not an exception either...

Amogst all the challenges with the everyday work and managing different people and different situations in order to sustain ourselves alive, to fulfill our roles, to make our plan everyday action, to be nice and happy people, to make sure we do have enough resources to do our work we have faced one of the greates challenges of all...

One of our team members has resigned and that put the team on realy shaky grounds with no idea how to deal with the rest of the responsibilities still haniging around. But when the first shock got lost and when we started to talk about all the good things this person was providing us with, we started to miss him and think about all the nice images that could have been made if he would stay in Croatia.

Sebi, you're greately missed and we do appreciate all the things you did for the team and for @ in Croatia while you were here.

However, it is the time for all of us to move on...

You're MC team was having really productive team building run by Carol at her place. We have covered a lot of things for the team itself and we sorted out the feelings we still have had. Also we have establish some nice rules and roles in the team and based on that we're having our new assignements :) For now, we'll leave them as a secret ;)

In terms of division of responsibilities - you'll be updated during our first national conference - Functional Meeting in Split which we are extremely looking forward to!!!

Incredible India

So we are back...

Everybody keeps asking how was it? So I have all the stories prepared to tell to anyone that wants to listen - we visited the amazing Taj Mahal, we enjoyed Indian spicy food, we went shopping and bargained in the colorfoul Indian bazaars, we were enjoying a lot of attention on the streets of India coz we look different, we were amazed by the hectic traffic and all those animals on the streets and the way they drive in the wrong side of the road...

But these are only stories...It is not the real India experience, it is not this minor things that have affected me so deeply. The real thing were the people I met there, it was the discussions that we made, it was the fun moments we shared, it was simply the environement I woke up to every day. It made me question everything I know and change some paradigmes I had in my head, it made me rethink about what are the important things in life , it made me rediscover myself and find some answers that I've been looking for..
What I will always keep with me is the moments I spent with specific individuals I have meat there, the conversations we had, the private thoughts and deepest dreams we shared among each other...You know who you are...You made my India experience so special ...Thank U for that...

India is amaizing..... and I don't think that anyone will tell you something else than just that. Sure it has its + and - sides but when you take whole XP there you can just be happy and grateful that you have been given that opportunity to descover something truly.

I have had a time of my life there and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Not even for my own appartement.....

Regardless the fact that @ers were there and that I was spending so much time with them (and we all know that those people are different in many ways than rest or young people) I wasn't expecting so much things to happen. This IC was suppose to be turning point in my life in terms of @ and I was suppose to discover what I want to do with my life later on. It was that and much much more. It touched me somewhere deap in side and made me think about so many things in my life that I do take for granted and it made me realize how fragile things can be. How much can you lose or gain with one smile to someone. It made me realize that things will not change if I don't change. It made me realize that there are things in life that are worth fighting for and it made me become better person in so many ways that I'll never be able to pay it back to all the people who made it possible.

Currently I'm in the process of doing my everyday responsibilities but I'm also thinking what can I do to make this world arround me a better place and what should I do to be right thing for me and people that are arround me.

I hope I'll be able to do that and I hope you'll pay it forward if I do :)

MC Meeting Minutes

Marina: *silence*

Ines: *silence*

Sebi: *silence*

Computer: *beep*

Bird outside: *chirp, chirp*

Matt: "Excellent points everyone as usual! Thanks for your input. Now, let's get started on these stragies"

Yes, that's Matt's new motto! Waving his lunch bag around the MC Office and promoting the new concept of his life, Matt is becoming a very happy person. We think the bag or the slogan has a deep impact on his perspective of life...

We are a bit worried, but as long as he's happy we're happy. :)

One of the cool part about MC life is that you learn each day a lot of new things about yourself, about the others, about life in general. Also cool is the fact that you get to do stuff that you might have never done before... Especially if you're far away from home. For instance, Matt just learned about the ironing process and now he's very keen to try it.

We are very proud of the fact that Matt managed to avoid putting a hole in that shirt... We still didn't tell him though that the shirt is not a shrine and therefore he doesn't have to knee while ironing. ;)

Hair

You know those nice days when you wake up and hate the world? Well.... Today is not one of those days :)

I comed my hair for the first time in last 2 months and it felt good. Now it seams that I have more hair on my head than usually :)

Obviously after the terrible injuries that Matt sustained durring the falling roof, he's not clearly thinking. I pitty you Matt... I do.

The only good choice that you could actually do about LinkedIn is that you should add Sebi to your connections. Sincerly. Why would you add 3 with less connections all together, when you could add one, but good, which has more than all three together.

So therefore, feel free too join Sebi's LinkedIn connections and have a nice day everyday meanwhile and after ;)

Roof Falls In part II

Another part of the roof caved in today. Luckily, the MC escaped (and a member of TAXI) escaped yet again without many injuries. This time we do have pictures....coming soon.

A competition is brewing in the MC office. We are seeing who has the most connections on linkedin.com

Sebi is in the lead with 155 connections.
Matt is second with 44
Marina is third with 21
And Ines is trailing behind with 8

I'm glad that I do look sane to my lovely team mates but may sanity is just an illusion.... IC is quite close and I'm on the edge to explode :)

Roof Falls In

Today the MC got quite a scare. The roof in the office fell down! Luckily, the MC escaped relatively unharmed. Matt got hit in the head and is suffering from memory loss (since birth). Sebi keeps running around the office in circles making animal noises.

Pictures of this destruction will be posted on Tuesday.

We hope our neighbours will not clean up the mess by then (but knowing them, it shouldn't be a problem :)

Marina is also back and she is very sane. We are worried about her.
